INTRODUCTION
Astronomical Telescope is an interactive project which provides children a direct method to learn the pattern of sky map. This project contains three modes: Education mode, Observation mode, and Connection mode. While switching between three modes, players can easily learn parts of astronomical knowledge, including zodiac sign, gradient color, planets, nebulas, equatorial coordinate system, and horizon. If players find some phenomenon which they interested in, they can add a “Learning Card” into it, it will introduce the specific event further.
CONCEPT
In this technology era, everyone is using their mobile device no matter where they are. Children are not in the exception. Longtime phubbing, however, would bring children lots of negative effect on their physical development. Their neck would not develop well and neither do their eyes. Therefore, we design this project to reverse this situation.
Considering who is watching the universe using a telescope, those people would raise their head and look up. This movement would benefit their neck because their neck is always suffered under a great force--the weight of the head. Children using this learning method could also learn the knowledge in the space.
2. Education Mode
Education mode contains a comprehensive description of Sign, Nebula, and Planets. Once the device detects a Learning card, it will inform the user what they see in their sight by voice.
3. Connection Mode
step 1. Connect two devices together by colliding them together.
step 2. This device is capable of adjusting the difficulty of the game. For the beginner’s parts, the telescope would provide name and line for players, players have to find which star is the correct object. Intermediate one only provides the hint of the name, while hard one does not offer any hint.
step 3. Choosing sub-mode is the third step of playing with this device. The connection mode contains two sub-modes in this mode. First is timer mode. Namely, in this mode, players have to find the best solutions in a limited time. The score of this sub-mode is calculated by the amount of question that player solved. Second is stopwatch mode. Stopwatch mode required players to solve fix-number of questions, the time they used to solve those questions is the major part of scoring.

Observation mode combining the virtual simulation of space from Google sky map. It allows users to explore the space with freedom. For the sky is a simulated one, those object would never be blocked by cloud or light pollution.
